Fumed Oak Natural

The oak boards are lightly fumed to achieve a richer variation of tones from light-brown to medium-brown, and slightly lighter than the natural golden colour of the wood.

We can supply the recommended adhesive to ensure the floor performs at its best when installed over a heated substrate.

    • Knots up to 80 mm
    • Cracks up to 400 mm
    • Sapwood up to 25 mm
    • End cracks up to 150 mm

    Rustic A

Rustic A grade allows a more pronounced variation in colour and grain. The floor contains knots including filled knots. This grade may contain the following:

    • Knots up to 40 mm
    • Cracks up to 20 mm
    • Filling in a sympathetic style
    • Natural colour variation
    • Sapwood up to 10 mm
    Premier

Premier grade has an even appearance with possibly only occasional small knots and blemishes. The natural variation is limited, though can be more visible on fumed oak. This grade may contain the following:

    • Knots up to 15 mm
    • Small cracks up to 20 mm
    • Natural colour variation

Boards wider than 245mm are only available in a rustic grade. On request we can select 285mm wide boards to a ‘good rustic grade’

  • Bevelled Edge

Boards can be produced either without bevel (square edge), micro bevel (1.5mm) or with a hand-cut bevel

  • Texture

Treehouse (Band sawn) / Planed / Brushed / Sawn & Scraped / Distressed
    Treehouse (Band sawn)

Our sawn oak floors give a room a tranquil look with a vintage twist. Our floors can be produced with a lightly sawn texture or with more pronounced saw marks (our standard Treehouse finish).

    Planed

Surface planing rather than sanding gives the floor a unique aged appearance.

    Brushed

Wire brushing removes the soft parts of the grain and gives the floor a subtle textured feel.

    Sawn & Scraped

Rough marks from the scraping combined with random saw lines produce an authentic and worn-in surface that is superior to a reclaimed floor.

    Distressed

The edges are lightly knocked, and the surface of the floor contains subtle indentations. Note our floors are not ‘tumbled’, so the finished floor will be free of splinters.
